Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful CD   June 14, 2008
I picked up this CD when I met Peggy Seeger a number of years ago. I was doing research on her mother Ruth Seeger at the time. Little did I know that ten years later my own daughter would love these songs. She dances and sings to them. Her favorite are "Mr. Rabbit", "Raccoon and Possum", "Snake Baked a Hoecake", "Little Rooster", and... Okay, she loves almost all of them. LOL

I highly recommend this CD.

5 out of 5 stars This is a favorite for 0-5 yr olds!   March 23, 2006
My two nephews love these CDs, they listen to them all the time! The songs are very cute and there's a nice rhythm to the songs which I think little kids are drawn to.

5 out of 5 stars Great Folk for Family Vacations   March 5, 2002

My fifth wife and our youngster really find this double disc set a special treat on our travels. Chad gets a kick out of our gleeful singing and even makes animal sounds to go along with the cute lyrics to these fun songs. I am particularly taken with song four from disc one, but am a tad alarmed by the trio (songs 17, 18, and 19) of tunes on disc two. 'Swapping' really got me into some hot water with wife number four. Nevertheless, these are fun folk songs and excellent for those long cross country trips in the beat up Volkswagon Van!!

5 out of 5 stars The best folk collection for children ever!   December 11, 1998

We were traveling for a year and this collection came with us. It was endlessly entertaining, great to sing along with, and listened to with pleasure by both kids and adults. Any folk musician interested in the history of folk music would also love this collection.

5 out of 5 stars A favorite with our family (ages 2 to 37)   June 30, 1998
By far our family's favorite album, with the Rooster song as favorite song. Anyone who hears it will campaign to have it replace Old MacDonald.
