Perfect Music for Practicing Tai Chi May 2, 2008 My instructor used this music in our Tai Chi class, so I wanted to have one for practice at home. It makes practice more entertaining and is calming and easy to listen to. There are different lengths of music for the short form and the long form.
Just what I wanted May 7, 2007 This Chinese music works great for practicing Tai Chi routines. The music is very relaxing and meditative.
Great for Tai Chi Beginners to Experts October 4, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
When I took Tai chi my teacher actually used this music when teaching us the 24-style short form. I came on amazon.com looking for it and lo and behold it was the first thing on the list of results! I loved it because after awhile you can lose yourself in the music and the Tai Chi just flows naturally, your mind forgets about the stresses of the day and you are merely in the moment, lost to everything else, but the rhythm, the sounds, the flow of the movement. Tai Chi is very beautiful and great for relaxation in many ways and this music compliments the movements.
Music for sport? September 13, 2005 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
The CD was upbeat and easy to listen to. However, it was kind of repetative. And I don't anyone who practices Tai Chi at that tempo. Good for background music though.
Great Taiwanese record company produces a wonderful record July 8, 2005 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I had been listening to Traditional Chinese Music my whole life.(ironically, China is the only country that does not use Traditional Chinese -- for this beautiful language had been destroyed during Communist revolution) Fortunately, music, however, found means to survive.
Wind Records is a wonderful Taiwanese record company that values tradition. It had made effects for decades to discover poorly preserved or even once-been-lost traditional music, and then renovate and record them. "Tai Chi Melody" is a very fine record. It can be used for a Tai-Chi player like me, and also serves as a nice relaxing music.
