Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Cause and Effect's Robert Rowe and Keith Milo follow-up 1999's introspective "Innermost Station" with their most ambitious release to date, "The Sunrise EP." A gorgeous electronic fusion of perfectly constructed pop arrangements against a backdrop of late night chilly beats and endearing uptempo vibes. Intelligent thought provoking lyrics and pleading melodies embedded in lush sonic soundscapes that are sure to captivate the senses of even the most discriminating listener. Led off by the deeply infectious first single "Into the Light," The Sunrise EP?s aural collage of five emotionally engaging tracks range in style from the seductive progressive house beats of "Sunrise" to the acoustic driven bliss of "Stay." Also included on the EP are remixes by Ryan Cosboom of Halou (Nettwerk/Nettwerk America) and Andres Oscuro (Moonshine.)

5 out of 5 stars One of the best CD's I own   November 4, 2006
I love 'The Sunrise EP!'. Cause and Effect are one of those bands that you can listen to over and over again, and a style that will never get old. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who loves music.

Not my favorite from them. I will take it though. I wish they would hurry up and release more albums.

This is such a great CD. I prefer the original tracks over the mixes. My favorite is "Stay". The few track are well worth the$. Wow!

5 out of 5 stars Shockingly brilliant electronic synth!   January 9, 2005

This is an unbelievably beautiful piece of work if you are into both synth-pop and modern trance/techno music. This album is full of lush dancey electronica that is where Depeche Mode would be today if they stayed more in the dance world. This is a huge change from C&E's more "rock" sound of the last couple of albums, but it also is a total evolution from the first album, in the way Depeche Mode quickly evolved from the bouncy bubble-gum synth of "Speak & Spell". Portions of this EP remind me of the ethereal late-night acid house sound of the Beloved, a band you should check out if you like this EP.

5 out of 5 stars Superb return, would like more tracks though!   December 12, 2004
I have this album and the Into the Light Remixes album, and the CDs just keep growing on me. I was skeptical at first that the CD would not be as good as their previous, or that it would be too "retro" and not up-to-date with current sounds, but they proved me wrong. The tracks, definetely C&E's style, have mixings of modern alternative and electronica. Its well done and a great listen.
