Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
An undisputed classic. Fourteen songs in as many minutes with each one more brilliant than the last. Originally released in 1980.

5 out of 5 stars Every song is great   July 18, 2008
This is one of those albums that is over befor you know it, and leaves you wanting more. This is by far the Circle Jerks best album.

5 out of 5 stars Circle Jerks rock!   May 20, 2008
This CD is great! It is my first from them and I highly recommend it!

4 out of 5 stars Fast Hardcore Album   May 2, 2008
This is my favorite Circle Jerks album. Its FAST, about 16 minutes total. Thats awesome, and at the same time bad. Depends on your mood the day you listen to it. Either way though, musically its a great album.

5 out of 5 stars Legendary Album   February 7, 2008
This has to be one of the top 5 hardcore albums ever released. It's an absolutely face melting 14 minute unrelentless sonic attack. It could not possibly start harder than the initial blast of "Deny Everything" - what could be better advice.

Hearing this recently, "Paid Vacation" is unbelieveable prophetic on the current situation in the middle east - "Next Stop Afghanistan It's just a giant Oil Company scam" applies now more than it did 27 years ago when it spoke about the Russian invasion of Afghanistan.

If you have to have 1 Circle Jerks album (I recommend every single one of them) this is the one to get. Shoot for the split w/ Wild in the Streets as that one is pretty much critical to any punk collection.

This album however captures the chaos of their shows - I have seen them twice but the show I saw in late 1980s on the Wonderful Tour w/ Corrosion of Comformity, Slapshot, and Vice Grip at the now defunct Rat in Boston still reigns as one of the greatest concerts I have ever seen. The posers calling themselves punk bands now cannot inspire the phrentic mosh attack that was unleashed on the front row - despite nearly being killed there (seriously overcrowded and nearly crushed to death in the front row) I will always remember this show and hearing any song on this album brings the rush right back.

Bands today are a dime a dozen - I wouldn't be surprised if people 50 years from now still listen to this album.

Goddam it support these guys - they put their whole lives into their music and deserve to be remembered.

5 out of 5 stars speed, transition, flow...like Steve Caballero at the Del Mar Skate Ranch Circa 1983   September 18, 2007
The lead singer, Keith Morris, started this band as well as Black Flag (Nervous Breakdown), but this first and best release of the Circle Jerks is a far superior album than any of the Black Flag albums. However..."Wild in the Streets" (from album of same name) is my favorite "Jerk" song.

Dr. Brown certifies this CD as "Bitchin"!

Don't be lame buy the cd....14 songs in about the same amount of minutes..."That's how long the inspiration lasts". Near seamless transition between songs leaves you with a satisfying dose of music. Play it loud mothers love this band!
