I have all of Gerald's music and this is the best. I think he is his father's son for sure.

p.s. keep up the good work.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful!   November 26, 2000

I LOVE this CD! I borrowed a copy to see if I would like it since I already had the Gerald and Eddie's CD. It was soooooo.. good! I had to have MY OWN COPY! In this case it is definately "God bless the child who has his/her own"! I often listen to this CD multiple time. I liked the Kelly Price duet with Gerald so much that I also purchased her latest CD when it became available! The CD insert presentations are also very appealing. This cd is a "perfect 10"!

5 out of 5 stars Sexy, Sexy, Sexy!   September 12, 2000

I listen to this CD everyday while I breeze through my assignments at work, as well as while I clean my house, and relax with my husband. We ride to "G" wherever we go, and I don't have to skip through any of the selections. Even though there are some that I enjoy more than others, I really enjoy the entire CD. Gerald displays a variety of moods, views, attitudes, and vocal diversity.

I was really impressed, but hasn't he, his father, and his group ALWAYS been the bomb? He will never go " out of style". There are few artist that can flow well within a group of vocalist, displaying their unique "gift" in a smooth groove, as well as croon any "bad day" to non-existence while holding their own as a solo artist.

Gerald Levert is very confident with himself and this "gift" that God has blessed him with. "Go Gerald, get busy"! (smile).

I LOVE the cut "THESE THINGS" ... it is such a genuine expression that many men feel about the women they love, and it is a pleasure to hear it expressed by none other than "G". This CD is one of the sexiest I have ever heard. I am looking forward to seeing him in concert.

5 out of 5 stars A New Fan   August 20, 2000

I haven't been a longtime fan of Gerald Levert, but eversince I saw him in concert at the GTE Ampitheather in Va Beach I have been hooked on his music. I purchased his new cd "G" and when I played it for the first time I couldn't stop listening to the cd. Not a day go by without me listening to his music. I think he is one of the best male singer outhere. Gerald if you read this just tell me when you are coming back to Va Beach.

5 out of 5 stars Son Of Soul   August 15, 2000

I have always been a fan of Gerald Levert. From the beginning when he was with Levert also when he decided to do his solo projects in addition to his already successful group I was a fan. I have every solo album by "G" and I have to really be honest. I believe that this CD is the best solo CD "G" has ever completed. The sounds on this CD remind me of the old school music yet modernized. Im not from the old school myself, but I can appreciate old school music when I hear it. Gerald has recaptured that sound on this CD. The first two songs won't give you that impression, but once "nothin to somethin" starts to play, the rest is history. It seems like with the forming of the group LSG, Geralds production and writing changed or reinvented itself. And it works for him. My favorite songs are "Strings Strings", "It hurts to much to stay" with Kelly Price, "2nd Time around", "Don't take it away" (I love the line "ice cream sprinkles" in that song. But the song that made me purchase the cd had to be "Baby U Are". This is a classic song in the making. Big Props to Gerald on this wonderful CD. I love it. Keep making music for us Gerald.
