4 all those who thought that del's early 90's style of whinning the lyrics had made the original 3030 album a little less than perfect. just amazing tunes accompanied by crazy skratchez from the best turntablist in the business.Make sure that u'v got a good set of speakers 1st though (a sub would b a good idea), as missing the bass-line would b missing 1/2 the beauty of this spectacular album.

These beats will be repeated several times in your Cd player or your ride, make sure you cop the vocal Deltron 3030, Del is the tightest rapper on the planet and Automator one of the tightest producers.
Nice idea, but... April 30, 2002 2 out of 38 found this review helpful
Hip-hop would get a lot more respect in general if the music that drives the songs was afforded the same degree of respect as the lyrics of the rappers in hip-hop. On addressing the artier side of hip-hop by releasing instrumental versions of key albums he's worked on, Dan the Automator is to be highly commended. However, all of his instrumental releases will be compared to his classic "Dr. Octagon" record, which simply soars with or without the vocals, and the truth of the matter is that Dan has only put together one album that strong, and this ain't the one (it's Handsome Boy Modeling School's "How's your Girl?"). The original Deltron album was marred by Del's wack raps and that's where you start thinking you might get a great record out of an instrumental release. You REMEMBER bobbing your head to some of the tracks UNTIL Del comes on, so you wonder: are the tracks great tracks without the rapping? The answer is, not really. A couple of thing stand out ("Virus" and "Things You Can Do" are just great, fun, stalking beats), but for the most part it's not as engaging as you'd hoped. Such is the power of Del's wackness.

This CD is the one of the best CD's I have ever heard. If you like the Gorillaz even somewhat you will love this. This CD has some of the best beats in the songs which keep you coming back for more. This group is very underrated for the quality of there songs, seriously have you heard of them(duh, you wouldn't be reading this review). But I like all types of music, from country to rap to classic rock. This has a blend of a little bit of techno, hip-hop, rock, and everything else. I suggest you buy this now.
