5 out of 5 stars Buy Tissues with the CD   February 23, 2006

1968 was a very emotional year on and off the radio. Songs like "Honey" and "Abraham, Martin and John" have always made me cry. And "Love Is Blue" very soothing. My collection of "Must Have" songs is a little more complete with this CD.

5 out of 5 stars Great driving music!   August 6, 2000

1968 gave us a lot of classics, and this CD offers a few that are buried in the mega-artists of that era. Classical Gas is in a "class" by itself. Three generations of music lovers in my family reach for the volume to crank it whenver those first notes from Mason Williams hit the air. Fast-forward through Bobby Goldsboro's "Honey" (with lyrics like, "she was always young at heart, kinda dumb and kinda smart," I'd rather my kids not have that one running through their heads, ever) on to "Love is Blue" and enjoy the rich harpsicord. Deep Purple's "Hush" actually makes me WANT to sing along with "na na na na, na na na, na na na" (didn't I just complain about lame lyrics?) just because it's GOOD listening. I wish this CD included a few more songs. It was well worth the price. This may be one I wear out from playing too much!
